Normally, you'd expect at least a couple of additional iPad variants and a new Apple Watch generation to see daylight by the end of 2020, but the entire world has had to adjust to a new normal in the last few weeks and the overarching long-term impact of so many factories and cities shutting down on the activity of major tech companies is still impossible to predict.

Motorola is running out of Moto G7 phones, One Zoom is completely sold out
Released a bit over a year ago, the , , and have been three of the most popular affordable smartphones of late. Unfortunately, in the US, Motorola is running out of G7 series stock.
At the time of this writing, the Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play are no longer available to buy . The regular Moto G7 is still in stock, but it's sold for $299 - that's the handset's original price from early 2019. Since the G7 has been routinely subjected to generous discounts in the last year, its current price suggests two things: there's demand for it, and stocks are limited.

Ask HN: Best Office Chair?

My home desk-chair is nearly ten years old at this point, and wasn't anything special even when it was new. This is starting to become pretty noticeable now that I'm using it for eight hours every day. Anybody have recommendations for their favorite office/desk chair? I don't want anything huge or ungainly, and ideally not one of those garish "gamer chairs". Something minimalist but comfy, and durable, and good for your back. I've really enjoyed those mesh-based chairs in the past, though I don't remember any specific brands.

Update to the Google Play Store adds Dark Mode to the account switcher
If you have more than one Google account, you know that it is usually a snap to change between your accounts. And thanks to a new update Google has turned the UI of the Play Store account switcher to Material Design which includes Dark Mode. The latter inverts the usual dark text on a white background to white text on a white background. This prevents users from straining their eyes and the eyes of innocent bystanders in a dark room or at night.
To swap Google accounts while using the Google Play Store, open the app and tap on your avatar at the right of the search ...

Will the 5G Apple iPhone 12 family show up on time?
There are so many different stories circulating about Apple right now that it is difficult to know which one is true. Just yesterday we told you that a senior official with one of the Chinese companies that supply Apple said that . Other reports are much more optimistic including one from analyst Gene Munster that gives a rational expectation .
One of the reasons why we can't seem to get analysts to agree on what is going to happen is that while China appears to have turned the corner on new coronavirus cases, the rest of the world is getting worse. Apple has reopened ...

Apple suppliers are now worried about a drop in demand for the 5G iPhone models
How well a device is selling depends on two factors, supply and demand. When the coronavirus first became a "thing," the concern on the part of Apple analysts was about the supply of iPhone units available. After all, Apple's manufacturing partners in China like Foxconn and Wistron had to stop production. Even three weeks ago when (as crazy as it now seems) people were actually walking in the streets of New York City unfazed by COVID-19, the problem for consumers was in carrier stores based in Manhattan.
A lot has changed over the last three weeks as the U.S. now ...
