New era for users of Android's Messages app starts later this month

Google will start rolling out RCS, its replacement for SMS texting, in the U.K. and France. More markets will offer it before the end of the year. RCS gets rid of the 160 character cap on texts, allows users to engage in a video chat without the need for a third-party app and more.
